What is the Akashic Records?
That’s a great question. I was first introduced to the Akashic Records a decade ago, and my understanding of it has evolved over the years. In this article, I will share my experiences with it instead of trying to define it narrowly. Perhaps, this will be a better way to understand it.
One thing I have learnt, is the more I worked with the Akashic Records, the less I can actually define it.
At my first Akashic Records workshop, I was taught to access my Akashic Records via a prayer. That prayer helped people to move through the astral realm and go straight to the Akashic dimension, where there are loving guides who will answer our questions. I used it to ask questions like, what would happen if I were to continue hanging out with my ex. It showed me a scene of sheeps, greenery and clouds. A few months later, we went to Scotland together. I also discovered that my first life on Earth was a tree, because I wanted to learn to be grounded. At that time, I never really understood the purpose or power of the Akashic Records and it was perhaps divine intervention that I lost the prayer shortly after.
Perhaps, I had not developed the wisdom to work with something so divine. Or maybe, there was another way to approach the Akashic Records.
In any case, that experience showed me that the Akashic Records held information about my past life and showed me glimpses of my future too.
In 2020, I came across an Akashic Records teacher based in Sedona, Arizona. Besides introducing me to the past, present and future life records, she also taught me to access the life between life realm - a dimension where souls to go after they pass on and hang out before they reincarnate. The library of records also contained a library of contracts - the contracts of servitude, self-punishment, poverty consciousness, family karma and others that bind us to unpleasant patterns. Fortunately, these contracts are reversible, they can be revoked once we understand why they were instilled in the first place. While we don’t need to see the full story, especially if it’s a past life issue, we need to process and release the energies that were brought to this life time.
With this teacher, I didn’t need a prayer to access the Akashic Records. She provided a meditation that helped me connect with the cosmic library. But because my education began with a prayer, I was sometimes unsure if I’d properly assessed the Akashic realm. This changed while I was in the midst of a 3.5 year chronic illness, which I chose to heal without western medicine or TCM. And instead, by going to the emotional and spiritual root causes. Mary Magdalene came to me and told me I could lean on the Akashic Records anytime. All I needed was to be there.
From then, I didn’t need to listen to the meditation anymore. I had a feeling that the process of healing my physical illness with a spiritual approach shifted my energies and helped me to align with the Akashic dimension. Depending on how skilled or experienced the Akashic Records reader is, the Akashic Records can then transform from a divine data base to a healing space where divine grace meets.
I often bring my clients into the Akashic dimension and allow them to see the information that they need, and process the unresolved pain from this and previous lifetimes. The most interesting thing is the Akashic realm shape shifts according to the needs of each client at each moment. Every time I bring someone into the Akashic Records, they will be shown what their soul needs. An ancestral figure might appear. A clue might bring us to a moment in their past life or childhood in this lifetime. They might be transported to another place that is significant to seeing the truth of an issue. A deity or two might swoop in to support the healing. It’s wild. And I can never predict anything that happens. Everything unfolds on its own, from moment to moment. And I will only know the next step to guide my clients when the previous one is done.
The Akashic realm has a divine intelligence that is guided by the energy of our soul. This makes sense because our Akashic Records is made up of the energy of our souls from every lifetime. It is so smart that no algorithm can predict it, that is why it is magical too. We don’t have to consciously know how it works, it just does.
Just like how we know a plant will grow from a seed. A baby will grow from a fertilised egg. There is something mysterious that guides and propels life forward, and ends it when it’s time.
I have not used the Akashic Records much to look into the future, but here’s what I’ve learnt from two separate experiences. I had a client come in to ask about her future relationship right after a break up, and I couldn’t retrieve any meaningful information for her then. Months later, the Akashic Records automatically showed me a version of myself when I was 60 years old, leading spiritual retreats in a woodland. I wasn’t expecting anything when I decided to explore my future records. But that information was crucial for me in that moment, because seeing that I was doing spiritual work at 60 allowed me to consider other career paths then. I can’t be doing nothing till then, can I?
After those experiences, I was even more convinced that the Akashic Records shows me what I am meant to see each time. The Akashic Records is not meant to be a fortune telling tool, but it can reveal something about the future if it serves my best interest.
